China has witnessed rapid economic growth over the past ten years and with it, an increase in materials and energy costs. With the present financial turmoil, businesses must cut costs to stay competitive. Most factory managers prefer cutting operations costs through energy-saving, waste reduction, and productivity improvements rather than through lay-offs and wage decreases. A number of factories in China have significantly reduced their energy costs by investing in technologies as simple as energy-efficient lighting and air-conditioning systems. However, many of these factory managers do not know about energy-efficient technologies or how to pursue funding, let alone how to start an energy-saving program. To this end, BSR has designed a training initiative to help Chinese suppliers start efficient energy-saving programs, secure funds and provide practical guidance on how to implement progressive and cost-effective programs.
In-house training + onsite visit + after-training practice
From the zero or low-cost energy efficiency options through energy management or polytechnic improvement, to the higher cost equipment replacements with low energy consumption facilities, together with the funding channels for energy efficiency projects and factory visit, BSR experts integrate advanced management with hands-on solutions into the training modules. Participating factories can understand how to get started in energy management.
