Water resources are a core issue for apparel and textile manufacturing sectors, as garment production relies on highly intensive processes in terms of water use and discharge, and utilizes high volumes of water and concentrated dyes and chemicals.

The morning session will focus on business case and regulatory environment, while the afternoon session will be on technical details of implementing water management systems. Technical personnel and water managers should plan to attend the entire day, and senior managers should join the morning session. For each registered full-day participant, one senior manager is welcome to attend the morning session for free.

Dr. Pan Yongzhang

Dr. Pan Yongzhang is a professor at Jinan University, with expertise in wastewater management and Cleaner Production. Dr. Pan has a PhD in Engineering, and is also a certified auditor in Cleaner Production and an official advisor to several provincial-level projects. In addition to teaching the theory and methods of wastewater treatment, Dr. Pan has also been actively involved in factory implementation of Cleaner Production methods.
