Employers should not refuse workers having hepatitis B

On the press conference of Aug 4, 2009, Hu Xiaoyi, the vice minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, introduced the work progress of Chinese employment and social security in the first half year of 2009. He also discussed whether it should cancel the hepatitis B in physical examination from the angle of labor security.

In the employment areas, there are definite laws on protesting any kind of discrimination in employment. Labor Contract Law and Law on Promotion of Employment all regulate that forbidding all discriminations of sex, nations, and races and so on. In employment area, employers should not refuse workers having hepatitis B if there is no threat to the public
