Jeremy Prepscius

BSR Asia Director

Jeremy Prepscius brings years of practical corporate responsibility experience from the perspectives of supply chain management, business integration, external communications, government relations and compliance operations.
Prior to joining BSR in 2006, Jeremy Prepscius spent 10+ years at NIKE, Inc where we worked in equipment sourcing, footwear production and corporate responsibility.
Jeremy spent two years in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as NIKE's labor practices manager and 5 years in Guangzhou China as the North Asia regional Corporate Responsibility Compliance Director
Jeremy spent more than 3 years in NIKE headquarters both in sourcing and corporate responsibility strategic planning.
Jeremy has also lived and taught in Japan, and has a Master's Degree in Economic Development from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.

Weidong Zhou

BSR China Director

Wei Dong Zhou provides expertise to government ministries, bureaus and research centers on corporate social responsibility in the Chinese context, and he manages BSR’s China Training Initiative (CTI), which seeks to improve labor and environmental practices among Chinese suppliers. Under his leadership, CTI has trained nearly 600 Chinese factory managers and created a platform for Chinese and Western stakeholders to collaborate in sustaining improved working conditions. He conducts seminars for factory suppliers on code of conduct compliance, and he has advised companies such as Disney, McDonals's IKEA, M&S, Nordstrom, Bodyshop, Next and Hewlett-Packard on their programs in China.
Prior to joining BSR in 2005, Wei Dong was a group business standards officer at the U.K.-based Pentland Group. He also served as a labor inspector of Labor Department in China, and he created the Participatory Development Appraisal network, a mechanism that ensures fair working conditions.

Jason Ho

CTI manager, SAI certified SA 8000 lead auditor, has has over 8 years experience in the field of ethical trade and labor standards. Jason Ho specializes in strategy consulting, developing management systems such as SA 8000, EICC, ICTI, WRAP and BSCI. Field audits and remediation reach a broad industry of footwear, toy, electronic, house ware, apparel and furniture. He visited over 1,000 factories over the past 8 years. With international vision and network, Jason is able to support local companies and MNCs in developing CSR strategy, identifying business case and implementing supply chain responsibility.

Fang Xie

Associate, Advisory Services

Fang XIE, CSR specialist, amateur photographer, blogger and Mac fan.  Graduated from China University of Law and Politics in 2004.  Met with CSR the same year when working at CNTAC (China National Textile & Apparel Council), and luckily became co-author of the first Chinese CSR based management system for textile sector – CSC9000T and engaged in bringing it into practice for 2+ years. 

Keanu Zhang

Associate, Advisory Services

Critical to project implementation in China, Keanu focuses on supply chain management, packaged training programs, workplace tailored consulting projects, and China Training Institute activities. Prior to joining BSR, Keanu worked for four years in social monitoring and supply chain sustainability. He worked as an operation manager at the CSR Alliance, a CSR training platform in Shenzhen, where he was responsible for training events and consulting. He also has a factory-based background; as an assistant administrative manager in a Hong Kong holding company, he was responsible for carrying out CSR policy within the company and ensuring continuous improvement. Keanu is familiar with Chinese laws and regulations related to social compliance and labor conditions, as well as CSR initiatives such as the Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000), Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production, International Council of Toy Industries, and the Business Social Compliance Initiative.

Zheng He

Associate, Advisory Services

In BSR's fast-paced Guangzhou office, Zheng provides critical project support to the whole organization and China Training Institute. She has been in charge of a HP supplier CSR program named Focused Improvement Supplier Initiative, to help over 50 HP’s first tie suppliers to improve their performance on HR system, environment, health and safety, and OT reduction. Meanwhile, she is a key role in several BSR’s energy saving projects, including organizing Top 1000 enterprises in Guangdong provinces to reduce CO2 emission and draw action plans. Zheng is currently managing HERproject in China, which empowered over 80000 female workers and gave them knowledge on reproduction and AIDS prevention. She also has a nice record on worker engagement through a Worker Professional Skills Initiative project. Zheng is good at comparing different factories and problem analysis.

Prior to joining BSR, Zheng was an editor at the Tibetan Tourism Magazine and China Verse Magazine. Zheng holds a B.A. in Journalism from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

Gavin Chen

Associate

Gavin joined BSR in June, as CTI Project Leader.  Prior to joining BSR, he was a professor of macroeconomics and international trade at the prestigious Xinhua College of Sun Yat Sen University. Mr. Chen also spent three years as a Project Supervisor at the Guangzhou Assessment and Recommendation Center of Enterprise Executives, where he focused on course development and design for management and leadership trainings that brought in over 20,000 participants.

Alice Huang

Project Assistant

As project assistant, Alice strengthens the backbone of the China Training Institute (CTI) by providing support in business development, promoting its supplier trainings and CSR courses, and maintaining the CTI website. Prior to joining BSR in 2008, Alice worked at GSD (China) Management Consulting Co., an environment, health, and safety (EHS) training and consulting company, where she was responsible for promoting, arranging, and supervising the EHS courses, as well as improving the curriculum requirements. Alice received her Bachelor's degree in English from Jinan University.

Medea Huang

Project Assistant

In our bustling Guangzhou office, Media provides critical support to a variety of brands and suppliers from a wide range of industries that are focused on our Labor Relation Practitioner (LRP) initiative. Her project work includes LRP implementation and promotion, stakeholder engagement, and company assessments. She also plays an integral role in the execution of the China Training Institute. Prior to joining BSR, Medea was a consultant for EIC, where she promoted overseas study programs for universities in England, Hong Kong, and Northern Ireland as well as provided guidance to clients on study plans and visas. She also worked as a project assistant for the Italian Trade Commission. Medea holds a B.A. in English Translation and Interpretation from South China Normal University.
